Glen Mhor Cottage

Take the A82 south towards Invermoriston, passing along the shore of Loch Ness.  At Invermoriston take the A887 towards Inverinate, Shiel Bridge and Kyle of Localsh. When you reach the junction with the A87 follow the A87 towards Shiel Bridge and Kyle of Localsh. At Shiel Bridge, just after the petrol station on the left, is a sign for a left turn towards the Glenelg Ferry and Glenelg. Turn into this road and after a couple of hundred yards the road bends round to the right.  Follow this single track road for about 9 miles to the sign for the Glenelg ferry.  This single track road at some points widens for two way traffic but is mostly single track but has plenty of passing points.  This road goes up quite a hill and back down again and is called the Mam Ratagan or Old Military Road. When you come into Glenelg you reach a junction with a sign to the Glenelg ferry to the right.  DO NOT TAKE THIS ROAD but turn left and on into Glenelg village. Go through an avenue of trees with fields either side, past the community centre and small school on your left.  You are then in the village with the Glenelg shop on your left.  Just almost opposite the shop is a small path to the right towards the sea/beach. Turn down here and Glen Mhor Cottage is the cottage on the left. You will see a parking space for the cottage just further down on the right.
